There’s spooky goings on all over the UK this Hallows Eve… And we’ve rounded up the most exciting, family-friendly events that will really make Halloween 2017 special!
If you’re looking for a local Halloween event you’ll never forget, drop into Drayton Manor for spooky family fun this October half term. Your little pumpkins can win treats on a Halloween tricky trail, and meet some of their favourite characters at Thomas Land™ which will be transformed into the spook-tacular Island of Sodor! For witches and ghouls down south, venture to Chessington for a Howl’o’ween! A spine-chilling week filled with thrills, howls and half term family fun awaits the bravest of guests, with jumps, goosebumps and rides in the dark at one of the UK’s leading theme parks. There’ll be chance to meet the witch from beloved children’s book ‘Room on the Broom’, or adventure through the trick or treat woods and with over 40 rides and attractions, Chessington offers a world of excitement for the whole family to enjoy this Halloween.
With many fun spooktacular activities plus over 55 rides, live shows and attractions, the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is an awesome day out this October for all the family. Featuring campfire stories, pumpkin patch decorating, and giant LEGO building galore there’s bundles of fun to be had at LEGOLAND. Brick or Treat is on from 14th – 30th October (we suggest you book now before those naughty LEGO® ghosts beat you to it).

From Saturday the 21st of October, Snowdonia’s award-winning eco adventure park will be brimming with Hallowe’en fun for the whole family. Get creative with creepy crafts – make lanterns, monstrous masks and create your own Harry Potter style broomstick. Keep your eyes peeled for witches and other spooky creatures in the trees, or become one yourself with freaky face painting.
Robin Hoods, Wheelgate Lil’ Park of Horrors, in Nottingham offers a family friendly fangtastic blend at Halloween… with unique family not so scary Halloween attractions, and over 20,000 FREE pumpkins all free for you to carve or paint. Encounter Creepy Critters and bugtastic workshops! The friendly farm team will help you brave your fears at their daily handling sessions, offering lots of Halloween fun!
Bristol Aquarium will be taken over by sea monsters as part of a special October Half Term event which runs from Saturday, October 22nd – Sunday, October 30th. Featuring interactive displays, monster mask making, beastly story tours, terrifying touchboxes and competitions. Their spooky torchlit tour on Friday 27th October (family-friendly) and terrifying torchlit tour on Saturday 28th October (15 yrs+) must be pre-booked by telephoning the Aquarium on 0117 929 8929. On Friday 27th October Oxygen Freejumping are opening up all seven of their trampoline parks for a Fright Night! Explore the entire trampoline park after dark, take part in interactive Halloween games, and enjoy BOOming music from the in-house DJ. The night includes 2 hours Freejumping, pizza, pumpkin carving and more. Don’t forget to dress up for the chance to win a prize!
From the 21st – 29th October Bristol Zoo Gardens are offering the chance to immerse yourselves in a different type of Halloween celebration.
