This May half term, Tynemouth Aquarium is hosting Superheroes of the Sea – an exciting, family-friendly event running from 24th May to 1st June 2025. 

Uncover Real-Life Superpowers Beneath the Waves 

Superheroes of the Sea invites families to dive into the fascinating world of ocean life and discover the incredible abilities of marine animals. From super-strength to camouflage and stealth, nature’s original superheroes are waiting to be explored! 

Young visitors will be on a hero-themed mission, meeting superheroes and supervillains at scheduled activity times. With a super trail and imaginative storytelling, it’s the ultimate half-term day out. 

What’s Happening? 

Visitors can: 

• Take on the Hero Adventure Trail, searching for missing items and solving clues throughout the aquarium. 

• Join in the daily Superhero Fancy Dress Competitions – capes and creativity welcome! 

• Learn about real sea creature superpowers during Live Aquarist Talks. 

• Spot surprise character appearances popping up throughout the week. 

Superheroes of the Sea runs daily from 24th May to 1st June, and all activities are included FREE with general admission tickets. 

It’s a brilliant way for families to enjoy the half-term holidays and discover the wonders of the underwater world.
