Step into a glowing underwater world at Edinburgh Zoo’s Giant Lanterns! A magical evening trail bursting with colour, light and wonder! From 14th November 2025 to 22nd February 2026, families can wander a mile-long route filled with over 600 spectacular lanterns, including giant glowing jellyfish, shimmering sea turtles, swirling fish shoals and even a glowing coral reef. It’s the perfect after-dark adventure for curious little explorers!

There’s loads more to enjoy too, you can book extra tickets and say hello to Santa in his cosy grotto - Sants is busy so tickets are subject to availability! You can also visit one of the Quiet Nights with softer lights and sounds. While the animals are tucked in for the night, the lantern trail is fully accessible, buggy-friendly, and designed to dazzle.
